SUMMERTIME x PVA AT THE OUTSIDER ART FAIR

Come visit us at the Outsider Art Fair, February 29 - March 3 at the Metropolitan Pavilion. We are thrilled to partner with Pure Vision Arts, a Manhattan-based art studio and exhibition space for adults with intellectual disabilities, and have curated their booth at the fair this year! 

With Summertime flair, we’re spotlighting the inner worlds of veteran artists Leon McCutcheon, Simone Johnson, Eric Sadowsky and Chase Ferguson. The booth will touch on universal themes of longing, nostalgia, sorrow, humor and devotion.

We believe “Outsider Art” to be an imperfect and, at times, othering categorization for art. Acknowledging the ways this term falls short, we recognize Outsider Art’s rich history, play with the questions it currently raises, and work towards a future when the distinction will no longer hold.

Leon, Simone, Eric and Chase will be present at the fair and have been advisors in the creation of the booth, allowing fans to get a fuller sense of who they are as artists and celebrate with them to the fullest extent.

Come step into the world of Leon’s jazz singers, Simone’s bodega cats, Chase’s paper batmobiles, and Eric’s crying newscasters alongside a tower of tissue boxes. See you there!
